Why our approach works

LONG TERM COMMITMENT

We are passionate about bringing about long term change and know that it is essential to provide ongoing monitoring and support to our projects to ensure that Nepali children have the education and opportunities they deserve.

HIGH QUALITY TEACHER TRAINING

Our training is specifically designed for Nepali teachers by a highly experienced team of educators, to bring about immediate and long lasting improvement in the classroom. Our trained teachers create nurturing learning environments.

NEPALI LED

Our founder, Durga grew up in rural Nepal. His insights, local knowledge and connections, and passion to improve the lives of Nepali children mean that the First Step Himalaya projects are well utilised and supported by the local community.
