Court Construction Limited, New Zealand
Court Construction Limited have been passionate supporters of First Steps Himalaya since 2014, when they proposed building a teacher training centre in Nepal. This generous company raised the needed funds and sent a team of their staff to Nepal, who assisted with the build process.
Unknown to them at the time, the sturdy eco-friendly earthbag building would stand up to the massive earthquake that struck just days after completion in April 2015.
Since then Court Construction has organised numerous fundraising events including a gala dinner, quiz and movie nights. They have also introduced other corporate sponsors to First Steps Himalaya. Their volunteer team have been on site in Nepal four times to bring their expertise to our school builds. For more information on our earthbag building projects, click here.

Nebulite, New Zealand
Based in Auckland, Nebulite, New Zealand have supported the building of two schools in rural Nepal. These purpose-built schools are clean, bright and build using an eco-friendly and earth-quake resistant building technique.
Nebulite have also generously supported the construction of our Teacher Training centre in Sangachok.
Bayleys Real Estate, Christchurch
Major sponsor of a special project, building a new purpose-built home for rural Nepali woman, Sita and her newly disabled husband. Following the massive earthquake of April 2015, Sita’s husband was left paralyzed after being trapped in the rubble of their collapsed home. She gave birth shortly after and the young family were huddled in an earthquake shelter unsuited to the needs of Sita’s disabled husband.
With the help of generous sponsors like Bayleys Real Estate, Sita and her family now live in a new home, purpose-built for disability living.

Royale Kitchens have repeatedly supported the building of schools across Nepal.
In 2015, Royale Kitchens got involved in supporting the construction of our Teacher Training centre in Sangachok. Groups of rural teachers from across Nepal attend training courses here in contemporary professional teaching methods that they can take back to their village schools.

The regular support from the team at Timber Floor Solutions means that rural teachers from across Nepal can attend Teacher Training workshops in our quality-built Training Centre.
