We start with the youngest children supporting village schools to improve the quality of teaching and encourage a love of learning, helping to break the cycle of poverty.
WITH YOUR HELP
Teachers in rural Nepali schools will:
receive a series of specially designed and culturally appropriate workshops on contemporary teaching methods
receive regular visits from our local Nepali supervisor who is trained to support and encourage them to adopt child- friendly teaching methods
have their classrooms repainted and refurbished with carpet, underlay and suitable classroom furniture
receive learning materials which are culturally and pedagogically appropriate to the class and be given ideas for making his/her own teaching resources
be monitored throughout the project period and progress recorded
receive in country programme support from our Nepal partner organisation First Steps Nepal
You will:
receive a proposal outlining various options to meet your budget
receive professional illustrated update reports six-monthly on the progress of your project
have the opportunity to visit the project should you wish
receive a tax deductible receipt if you are a NZ resident

Project size can vary greatly, depending on the number of classrooms, schools and villages involved, and can range from transforming several classrooms to transforming multiple schools across a district.
